Aloha! Hawaiian Electric Co. (HECO) reported that power was restored to all but 2,000 of the 12,400 customers who lost power in West Maui (does not include an approx. 2,000 homes and businesses that were destroyed in the fire). Internet and landline phone services have still not been restored however it is anticipated that they could be within the next week. Unfortunately, this means that direct communication with the staff at Napili Point Resort Rentals is also still limited. We will let everyone know as soon as this changes. The County of Maui continues to ask people to only use their phones for texting at this time.
This morning, Gov. Josh Green announced the opening of the road to Lahaina during specified hours.
