Check this video out - Capt. Budd aboard Queen's Treasure off Ka'anapali Beach on Maui, says that in all the years that he has been whale watching, he has only seen the humpback whales "tail-sail" a few times in his lifetime.  The exception was last month (February) when he witnessed this behavior by several different humpbacks on a couple of consecutive days - and for long period of time (up to 45 minutes). Other boat captains on Maui also reported witnessing the same phenomenon.
