Today is the one-month mark since the devastating wildfires that swept through Lahaina town on August 8, 2023. A morning Paddle Out took place in the waters off Kalama Park in Kihei. A second event took place at noon in the waters off Ukumehame where hundreds came together to remember our beloved town of Lahaina and all those who have been impacted by the Maui wildfires. The event included a boat lineup and flower drop and then concluded with a vehicle convoy at 1pm. We’ve included a link below for Maui Now to view several beautiful photos of this event as well as the Paddle Out in Kalama earlier in the day. There is also a link to a video taken by a participant in the Paddle Out.
