Aloha! Have you been to the Nakalele Blowhole while on Maui? The best way to get to the Nakalele Blowhole is from the west side of the island rather than the drive from the east side. Head northeast past Kapalua on Honoapiilani Highway (Hwy 30). The drive is about 15 or 20 minutes depending on how many times you stop for the spectacular views along the way! Mile marker #33 is just past Honolua Bay where the road begins to climb up and around amazingly beautiful cliffs. When you reach about halfway between mile markers #38 and #39, you'll see a very large dirt pullout parking area on your left bordered by boulders. It's a small hike down a rocky trail to the blowhole if you want to get close, however you don’t have to walk all the way down to get a good picture or view. You can see it from above. There’s an area about half way down the trail with large rocks where you can sit or stand and take some great pics and enjoy the view.
