Aloha everyone! We wanted to update you on Hurricane Lane. Both the Big Island and Maui County are now under a Hurricane Warning which includes a high surf advisory and flash flood watch - in effect until Thursday/Friday. When the hurricane passes the Big Island, we will know much more with respect to the direction it will take and the impact/velocity to Maui.
The good news is that last night Hurricane Lane was a Cat.5 and this morning downgraded to a Cat.4. In any event, we are expecting a heavy wind and rain event on the island for the next 36 hours.
At Napili Point Resort - Rod and the staff are on high-alert and have been proactive for days - taking all precautions at the property and keeping our guests well informed. We will keep you updated when we have additional information. Mahalo for your thoughts and prayers! Lola
It's Aloha Friday! Mahalo to Julia O. for this beautiful photo of a double rainbow over Honokeana Bay and the honu popping it's head out of the water.
It also appears that Napili Point Resort is at the end of this rainbow!
